Adding Email Accounts
  1. To add an email account, first open Windows Mail.


  2. Click on Tools along the top and then select Accounts...



  3. Click on Add...



  4. Select E-mail Account and then press Next.



  5. Enter a Display Name and then press Next.



  6. Type in your full email address and then press Next.



  7. Enter the following settings and then press Next:
    • Incoming e-mail server type: IMAP
    • Incoming mail server: imap.ruraltel.net (or imap.gbta.net, etc. depending on your email address)
    • Outgoing e-mail server name: smtp.ruraltel.net (or smtp.gbta.net, etc. depending on your email address)
    • Outgoing server requires authentication: Check this



  8. On this screen, enter your full email address for the E-mail username and then enter your email password in the Password field. Then press Next.



  9. Press Finish.



  10. Your account is now added.






Viewing Account Settings
  1. To view account settings, first open Windows Mail.


  2. Click on Tools along the top and then select Accounts...



  3. Select the account your would like to view and then press Properties on the right.



  4. A popup will appear that will show you the account settings for the selected account. You can switch between the different sections using the tabs along the top and edit your account settings from here.







Removing Email Accounts
  1. To remove an email account, first open Windows Mail.


  2. Click on Tools along the top and then select Accounts...



  3. Select the account that you would like to remove and then press Remove.



  4. You will get a confirmation screen asking if you are sure that you want to remove the account. If so, press OK.



  5. Your account is now removed.
