Adding Email Accounts
- To add an Email account, first open up Outlook Express.
- Next, click on Tools along the top and then select Accounts...
- Click on Add and then choose Mail.
- Display name is the name that others will see when receiving mail. Tells them who it's coming from. Then press Next.
- For Email address, type in your full email address and press Next.
- Here we will make the following changes and then press Next:
- My incoming mail server is an IMAP server
- Incoming mail server: imap.ruraltel.net (or imap.gbta.net, etc. depending on your email address)
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.ruraltel.net (or smtp.gbta.net, etc. depending on your emails address)
- The account name will be the full email address and your email password will go in the Password box. Press Next.
- You have now set up your email address and can press Finish at the bottom.

Viewing Account Settings
- To view your account settings, we must first open Outlook Express.
- Next, click on Tools along the top and then select Accounts...
- With the account you would like to view highlighted, click on Properties.
- Here you will find the different account settings for the selected email account. You can browse through the different sections by using the tabs along the top.



Removing Email Accounts
- To remove an email account, we must first open Outlook Express.
- Next, click on Tools along the top and then select Accounts...
- With the account you would like to remove highlighted, click on Remove at the right.
- You will get a popup confirming that you want to remove the account. If so, press Yes.
- Your account is now removed.
