How to Report Spam E-mail

- Right Click your Spam Folder and go down to Synchronization Settings. You will want to select All Messages. This will allow you to place anything into the Spam folder you do not want, and the mail server will "learn" to block these messages in the future based off the message as a whole. You can also remove messages from the Spam folder if anything is placed in there that you consider not Spam. The server will then allow messages like that through.
- Right Click your Spam folder and go down to Subscribe.
- You will see a new window pop up, click the arrow next to INBOX, and place in a check mark in all of your folders. Then hit Subscribe. This will allow you to place anything into the Spam folder you do not want, and the mail server will "learn" to block these messages in the future based off the message as a whole. You can also remove messages from the Spam folder if anything is placed in there that you consider not Spam. The server will then allow messages like that through.

- Click on the Subscribe Tab and hit Query. From here click on the Spam Folder and click the Subscribe button. If it is grayed out it is already Subscribed. You can also remove messages from the Spam folder if anything is placed in there that you consider not Spam. The server will then allow messages like that through.

- Mac Mail will automatically sync folders for you. If you would need to sync a folder manually because of issues. Highlight the Spam folder, go to Mailbox, then down to "Use This Mailbox As" and select Junk Mailbox. This will allow you to place anything into the Spam folder you do not want, and the mail server will "learn" to block these messages in the future based off the message as a whole. You can also remove messages from the Spam folder if anything is placed in there that you consider not Spam. The server will then allow messages like that through.
- The improvements to Webmail give you the customer more control over your mail and what e-mails you want or do not want. If you log into your Webmail account via webmail.ruraltel.net . Once logged in you will see your inbox. If a message is located in your inbox that you classify as SPAM simply click the icon showing the picture below.
- After clicking the icon the message will pause for a few minutes and then move to your SPAM folder. It will then also report that message to our SPAM provider.
